Couples often avoid being in the present moment with each other. There is fear of overthinking or upsurge of feeling from an unresolved argument. It is usually at this time of silence clarity emerging from past situations, which were suppressed. This then leads to confrontation, a trick for mind to break the silence.
Both partner therefore will avoid this situation in the future. Consequently, lack of effective communication continues, and feelings remain unexpressed.
Silence can open doors to unseen or avoided things that require clarity.
